Applying for an Apartment 

If you are interested in applying for an apartment at Amalgamated Housing Co-op, please visit the NYS Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) Housing Search website: housingsearch.hcr.ny.gov

Current applicants can also use HCR’s Automated Waiting List (AWL) system to monitor their waiting list status and update their contact information through the Current Applicant section.

Please note:

  • The application must be printed on legal size paper (8.5″ x 14″).
  • A non-refundable $75 money order must accompany each application.

Upon receipt, your original application will be date and time stamped and entered into HCR’s Automatic Waiting List (AWL) in chronological order. You will receive an AWL summary printout that includes your application number for your records.
